Flash Floods devastated Tehsil Paroa and Tehsil Daraban of D I Khan, wiping out many villages and destroying roads connecting the Tehsils with other areas causing severe difficulties for the local citizens.
The flash floods coming from Koh-e-Sulaiman hit the Tehsil Daraban Kalan, Chodhwan, Musa Zai Sharif, Tehsil Prova, Makarr, Ramak, Babar Kachha, Babar Pakka, Jhuk Chandna, jhuk Tilkan and Bharki villages and other merged tribal areas including Kirri Shamuzai, Fateh Ali and Khui Bahara and others.
The Flash Floods devastated dozens of villages in which hundreds of houses, livestock and crops have been swept away by the floods.
The roads connecting the flood affected areas to the other areas were also destroyed cutting the connection of these areas with the other areas.
Prova Grid station has also been inundated in flood water causing power outages across the tehsil for an indefinite period. The breakers worth crores of rupees were burnt due to the flood water entering the grid station.
According to WAPDA officials, the power supply has been suspended across the tehsil due to the burning of the breakers, which may take several weeks to restore and if the power transformers are damaged, the residents of Prova Tehsil will be deprived of electricity for months.
Due to the flood devastation in Tehsil Prova, Daraban and merged Tribal Areas, the flood affectees were forced to migrate from their respective area to safer places as their houses and assets were destroyed due to flood.
The affectees alleged that the elected representatives and the district administration have abandoned them in this hour of trouble.
