One person has been killed while 27 others were injured as a speeding passenger coach plunged into a ravine on Gomal Zam Road, Wana on Friday.
A rescue 1122 official said, passenger coach plunged into a deep ravine after the driver of the coach lost his control on it due to over speeding.
The incident took place on Gomal Zam road, Wana, the tribal district of South Waziristan.
As a result of the mishap, one person was killed while 27 others injured including women and children.
As soon as the incident was reported Frontier Corps (FC) officials along with medical teams of Rescue 1122 reached the spot of mishap and rescued the injured and rushed the injured and the deceased to District Headquarter Hospital (DHQ) Tank for medical aid.
The deceased person is said to belong to Datta Khel tribe of Tribal Wazir, while all the other injured women and children are said to be relatives, who have been admitted to DHQ Hospital Tank.
Meanwhile, A fire broke out in a mobile shop located in Sholaam stand of Wana’s Rustam Bazar.
Due to the blaze, valuable mobiles and all the goods in the shop were burnt to ashes, due to which the shopkeeper has lost millions of rupees.
The fire broke out due to an electric short circuit.
However, as soon as the information was received, Rescue 1122 firefighting teams reached the spot and brought the fire under control.
The rescuers said that there was no loss of life apart from financial loss.
